In what could be a growing trend, another unpaid intern has filed a class-action lawsuit saying she should have been paid during the internship. The suit also claims that the show failed to train and educate the interns.

I thought interns were just supposed to use these jobs as spring boards, not actually get paid. Besides, I’m fairly sure they were told in the beginning they weren’t

Labor laws specify the amount of hours interns can work and the type or work they are to be giving. Companies usually ignore these rules so interns are entitled to wages. Interns usually don’t sue due to being black listed after the fact.
