Choate v Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad Co.

How Ridiculous?
 
 

A 12-year-old that says he knows the dangers of playing on train tracks still sued when he was injured while jumping on a moving train – and won a $6.5 million verdict.  The verdict was upheld by an appellate court, but was recently overturned by the Illinois Supreme Court.
