After the New York Knicks discovered a potentially life-threatening heart condition in guard Cuttino Mobley, the decided to retire him. Although Mobley initially credited the team’s medical staff with potentially saving his life, he later sued the Knicks for ending his career and revealing his heart condition to other teams. A judge recently dismissed Mobley’s suit, saying the team was not required to accommodate him given their concerns for his health.
