Actor Frank Sivero seems to think that his face is worth $250 million dollars.
Most recognizable for his roles in Goodfellas, The Godfather and The Godfather Part II, Sivero is claiming that a character named Louie on the long-running FOX cartoon The Simpsons is a direct infringement on his likeness.
Louie, a fictitious hooligan in the town of Springfield, allegedly mimics Sivero with his mobster looks and helmet-like haircut. The character has appeared in a mere sixteen of the more than 550 episodes of the The Simpsons to date.
Now, over two decades after the original appearance of Louie in a 1991 episode, Sivero is filing his lawsuit for $250 million.
What do you think—does Sivero have a case, or is this an example of a real life shakedown?
