‘Goodfella’ Attempting To Sue Simpsons Cartoon For $250M

Actor Frank Sivero seems to think that his face is worth $250 million dollars.

Most recognizable for his roles in Goodfellas, The Godfather and The Godfather Part II, Sivero is claiming that a character named Louie on the long-running FOX cartoon The Simpsons is a direct infringement on his likeness. Louie, a fictitious hooligan in the town of Springfield, allegedly mimics Sivero with his mobster looks and helmet-like haircut. The character has appeared in a mere sixteen of the more than 550 episodes of the The Simpsons to date.

Now, over two decades after the original appearance of Louie in a 1991 episode, Sivero is filing his lawsuit for $250 million.

Jimmy John’s Lawsuit ‘Sprouts’ Hefty Payday for Lawyers – Vouchers for ‘Victims’

California resident Heather Starks really likes her alfalfa sprouts. So much, in fact, that she’s brought a national class action lawsuit against national restaurant chain Jimmy John’s “claiming that a sandwich she ordered was supposed to contain sprouts but did not.”

While her lawsuit may sound ridiculous, it’s actually resulted in a hefty settlement, of which the plaintiffs’ attorneys will get a big bite – and the allegedly aggrieved “victims” of the sprout-less sandwiches will receive small vouchers.

Lawsuit: Red Bull Doesn’t Actually ‘Give You Wings’

If you have ever had a can of the energy drink, Red Bull, and were upset to learn that the drink didn’t actually “give you wings”, as the company’s marketing slogan suggests – you are not alone.

Red Bull has reportedly agreed to pay more than $13 million to settle a proposed class action lawsuit which claims the company’s marketing – including the slogan, “Red Bull gives you wings,” – may overstate the effects of the drink.
