But the “Sportsman’s Paradise” is turning into a litigation nightmare. Trial lawyers are clogging up the court system with an endless stream of lawsuits.

Trial lawyers are suing over everything, from coastal erosion to liability over private waterways. These lawsuits are changing the state’s culture, and hurting the state and local economies.

It’s gotten so bad that the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (BASS)—the largest fishing organization in the world—recently announced it will no longer hold Bassmaster tournaments in the Pelican State.
