Frivolous lawsuits are like a box of chocolates: you never know what you’re gonna get.
A Washington, DC man bought $15,000 worth of chocolates from Godiva, which was founded in Belgium but has chocolate factories in the United States.
He’s suing Godiva, claiming the company commits “massive fraud” for labeling their treats as premium Belgium chocolate and charging more than other chocolate companies.
He compared his frivolous lawsuit to rights ensured by the Fair Housing Act.
And he wants Godiva to pay him seventy-four thousand dollars.
Let’s put the lid back on this stale box of lawsuit abuse.
