The proceeds from the sale of a bracelet the singer designed went to the victims of the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan, eventually raising $1.5 million for relief efforts.  However, a lawsuit claimed that shipping and taxes were added, meaning that less than the entire sale price went to charity.  Lady Gaga agreed to donate $107,500 to charity to settle the suit.  The settlement also includes up to $107,500 in attorney fees.
